What are the Essentials
One fun thing to discover this last week is that Juliette and I pack very differently. She magically accordions a gorgeous abundance of painting supplies, candles, incense, oracle cards, offerings on offerings and every day necessities into a big roller bag. I take only what I can carry on my back, which this trip means only a few days of clothes, minimal microphones and charging chords (I wish I had brought a few more), a med kit, a toothbrush, and the few essential items in the picture above.
I love challenging myself to pack as little as possible, because it makes everything I do take feel very precious. And, I'm so relieved to have Juliette to borrow clothes from when I do laundry, and use an oracle deck any time. We laughed the other day about how if we were Tarot cards, she'd be the high priestess and I would be the hermit. Another way that we make a good team!
We've had a very needed few rest days in Provence, after a hit-the-ground-running landing in Rome and packed few days at Lake Nemi. The people around the temple to Diana and our hosts in Genzano were so amazingly kind, and generous with their stories. I can't wait to share with you all that we learned, and also process it myself! It was the kind of experience that will likely still be surprising me with insights many years to come.
More soon! Love from the road!
